Some people think its hard to minimize your wardrobe and yet remain professional. It’s all in the choice of clothes. I chose to become a minimalist by first reducing the amount of clothing that I kept in my closet. I have never been happier.
The rule of three applies to each group of clothing:
Black Tee (2)
Pink Tee
Red blouse
Charcoal cardigan
Marled gray cardigan
Gray pullover sweater
Plum pullover sweater
Black pullover sweater
Black tank (2)
Gray tank
Black pants (2)
Jeans
Black pencil skirt (2)
Socks/Bras/underwear (3)
Workout/Walking capri (3)
Lounge pants for winter (3)
Black flats
Black loafers
Black pumps
33 things that are the essentials for me
When I travel I can fit what I need in a backpack. I leave the blouses behind because they wrinkle. I could reduce this list even further by wearing my jeans when I walk and for around the house .I am not quite ready to give up my attachment to my capris or velvet. I could give up some sweaters too but I’m not ready for that yet either. I’ve discovered that minimalism is not about deprivation but keeping what makes you happy as well. There is balance for now.
